Terms of Service
These terms explain the agreement between you and Travelled when you use the app. We’ve kept them as clear as we can.
About these terms
By creating an account or using Travelled, you agree to these terms. “Travelled”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of the Travelled app, based in the United Kingdom.
Operator details are given in our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Your account
You must be 16 or over to create an account and use Travelled. During account setup, we ask for your date of birth to check that you meet this requirement; we use it only for that check and don’t keep it. By creating an account, you confirm that the date of birth you enter is accurate. Please give accurate details when you sign up, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You’re responsible for activity on your account unless it happened without your permission and you weren’t at fault.
What Travelled provides
Travelled helps you keep a personal record of your travels — the places you’ve been, the trips you’re planning and the places you’re dreaming of — and presents it as your world, your journey and your passport.
We’re always improving Travelled, so features may change. We’ll keep the app working as described and won’t remove something you have paid for without good reason and fair notice.
Your content
Your travel information and photos remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can provide Travelled to you — for example, to save your trips and show your map. This permission ends when you delete them or your account, subject to the retention described in our Privacy Policy.
Only upload content you have the right to use, and nothing that is unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights.
Using Travelled responsibly
Please don’t:
- use Travelled for anything unlawful;
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or interfere with Travelled’s security or operation;
- copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell Travelled, except where the law allows it;
- use automated tools to overload or misuse the service.
Purchases
Travelled is designed to offer a period of free access followed by a one-off purchase of Travelled+ rather than a subscription. The price and exactly what’s included will be shown in the app before you buy.
Purchases are made through the Apple App Store and processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We use RevenueCat to keep track of what you have unlocked, so Travelled+ stays available on your account. Your statutory rights in relation to digital content are not affected.
The App Store
If you downloaded Travelled from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Travelled or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and isn’t responsible for handling any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries. Your use of the app must also comply with the App Store’s terms.
Information in Travelled
Travelled may show general information for convenience — such as country details, trip countdowns or the current weather at a destination. It comes from sources we don’t control, may not always be accurate or up to date, and isn’t professional travel, safety, health or legal advice. Always check official sources before you travel.
Our intellectual property
The Travelled name, design, software and content we create belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial use.
Ending your use of Travelled
You can stop using Travelled and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first and explain why.
Our responsibility to you
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for loss that wasn’t foreseeable, or for business losses — Travelled is for personal use.
If defective digital content we supply damages a device or digital content belonging to you, we’ll either repair the damage or compensate you, as the law requires.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law — including your statutory consumer rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and claims can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring a claim in your local courts. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when Travelled or the law changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects you, we’ll tell you before it takes effect, and you can delete your account if you don’t want to continue.
